That their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and attaining to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in true knowledge of God's mystery, that is, Christ himself, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. - Colossians 2:2-3
For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority; - Colossians 2:9-10
People are drawn to hidden, mysterious things. There are great mystery books which we have read and reported during our school days. What a thrill to be able to discover where hidden things are! Yet there is far more than physical, hidden things when discovered and exposed. There is one mystery, very controversial personality who ever lived on earth. His name is Jesus Christ. He lived for 33 years or more on this planet yet He changed the course of history. History means 'His Story'. Even days and times are marked either BC or AD. He really turned the world upside down. Why? Because Jesus Christ was sent into the world to redeem the world of its slavery to sin; be rescued from the power of Satan and return back to its original condition, i.e. before Adam and Eve sinned.
This mystery was hidden for a long time, although God revealed Jesus' coming in the Old Testament. It started in the Garden of Eden itself, particularly Genesis 3:15; right after God confronted Adam and Eve with their sin and curse were pronounced on the serpent, the woman and the ground, wherein man has to toil hard in order to harvest something from the soil. And from then, God revealed His coming. But the irony of it all is that, when Jesus came, nobody recognized Him. He was in human form, humble, no beauty in Him that we should desire Him; a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
Alas it was hidden in the eyes of men! Only those who were really waiting for Him had seen Him. It is up to us whether we want to know this "Hidden" man, who was marred and rejected, crucified, died and rose again from the dead. So many people avoid Him so as not to face the fact of their sin and need of Him. Sometimes we do not want to have anything to do with Him. His teachings are beyond our comprehension and reach. If not for the power that He gives, we will not be able to live in a manner that brings glory and honor to God.
Have we encountered "Immanuel" - God with us? Have we seen this "Hidden" man and allowed Him to reveal Himself to us? It is best for us to know Him, we will never be disappointed. That's the truth!!!!!!!!
Have a pleasant day!
Do you like to see and encounter Jesus in your life and allow Him to reveal Himself to you? Simply follow this prayer with all your heart.
Dear Lord Jesus, I admit that I am a sinner. I have done many things that don’t please you. I have lived my life for myself only and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe that you died on the cross for me, to save me. You did what I could not do for myself. I come to you now and ask you to take control of my life; I give it to you. Let your Will be done to me. From this day forward, help me to live every day for you and in a way that pleases you. Put a new spirit in me and give me a new heart, in Your Powerful Name Jesus I ask and pray, Amen.
Welcome to God's family! You've made the right decision, for it is God's heart that we encounter Jesus. It's only through Jesus, we can draw near to God.
