Would not God find this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart. Psalm 44:17
The heart is more deceitful than all else and is desperately sick; who can understand it? I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give to each man according to his ways, according to the results of his deeds.
Jeremiah 17:9-10
Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, but counselors of peace have joy.
Proverbs 12:20
Your word I have treasured in my heart, that I may not sin against You.
Psalm 119:11
It makes you feel loved, and more than willing to give a present especially when you see a picture of a heart with a bow from Cupid during Valentine's Day. It is a day of expressing our undying love to our loved ones and family. But do we maintain being loving the rest of the year? Do we continue to love and care no matter what? It never occurred in our minds what is truly "heart." The Scriptures describes the 'heart' as deceitful, desperately sick. Since it is sick, it needs healing. God knows the secrets of the heart. He searches our hearts; test our minds because there is nothing that God would not find out.
How can our heart get well and be made whole? We approach the One who can
heal the 'heart.' God said, 'I will give you a new heart and a new spirit." He alone can do divine surgery of the "heart." You probably might not agree, but the Word of God exposes the true condition of the heart. If we humble ourselves and accept what God says, He will perform the divine surgery and give us a 'new' heart and a 'new spirit.
After the divine surgery, complete healing will come and this time we need to fill our heart; treasure God's word in our 'new heart' so that we might not sin against Him and our fellowmen.
Is our heart 'new' or 'old?' Let us ask God for a brand new heart!
Have a nice God-filled week with family and friends!
