All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16
But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. 2 Peter 1:20, 21
But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4
The written word, the Bible is authentic, genuine, and valid. It is our very bread. Jesus already said that we cannot live on bread alone [feeding the physical body] but there is something in us that must not starve [our spirit]. Man is composed of body, soul and spirit. The word that proceeds out of the mouth of God is our spiritual food so we need to read the Bible everyday, that is, to feed our inner man [spirit].
The written word was given to men, yes, but God revealed His word to them. It is inspired, not man's interpretation, not of human will but men who were moved by the Holy Spirit of God. The benefits of reading the Word of God everyday are awesome: it profits us, teaches us, reproves us, corrects us, and trains us for righteousness for the purpose of being adequate, equipped for every good work.
God revealed Himself to us. He does not want us to be ignorant of who He is. He wants us to know Him intimately and live in constant communication with Him. I encourage everyone to read the Bible for your own sake and get to know the author of this Book, God himself.
Have a pleasant and fruitful day!
