A voice says, "Call out." Then he answered, "What shall I call out?" All flesh is grass, and all its loveliness is like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower fades, when the breath of the LORD blows upon it; surely the people are grass. The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever. Isaiah 40:6-8
Voice says, "Call out." Who's voice? The voice of God. God told the prophet Isaiah to 'call out'. What was the message? All flesh - meaning man is compared to grass, compared to a flower. We all know that grass, flower won't last long. They bud; bloom but afterward withers and dies. Our life also has its season - birth, manhood/womanhood, golden age [growing old] then dies. Which will stand forever? The word of our God alone. No matter how powerful, influential we are our time is still short. Even if we are rich, we will leave all this behind when death knocks at our door.
'There is only one life to live and only those that are done for Christ will last.'
Have we dedicated our lives to God? We may live but not for long yet with the abilities and talents God has given, let us use them to glorify His name since we know our time is limited.
Have a blessed day!
