Comfort

Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope by grace, comfort and strengthen your hearts in every good work and word. 2 Thessalonians 1:16-17

What do we wish or want it life? Others may be saying, 'I want a house,' 'I want a good future for my children,' 'I want to be rich.' All of these may be obtained by sheer effort and good opportunity that may come our way and be successful based on the world's measure. When we have all worldly goods we may think these will make us happy. But there are things in life that cannot be bought or purchased. They are free, i.e. love, comfort, hope, grace, strength, good work, good word, even peace of mind.

Be it known that Jesus Christ and God our Father has loved us so much and He alone can give us what we really need, free of charge. If we could just be thankful for all the things that He freely gives, then comfort comes to us all the days of our lives and we will never lack anything.

Let us meditate and think about His word for today.
