Behold, a king will reign righteously and princes will rule justly. Isaiah 32:1
Then the eyes of those who see will not be blinded, and the ears of those who hear will listen. The mind of the hasty will discern truth, and the tongue of the stammerers will hasten to speak clearly. No longer will the fool be called noble, or the rogue be spoken of as generous. For a fool speaks nonsense, and his heart inclines toward wickedness: to practice ungodliness and to speak error against the LORD, to keep the hungry person unsatisfied and to withhold drink from the thirsty. As for a rogue, his weapons are evil; he devises wicked schemes to destroy the afflicted with slander, even though the needy one speaks what is right. But the noble man devises noble plans; and by noble plans he stands. Isaiah 32:3-8
Evil, wickedness, ungodliness, rebellion, stubbornness, sickness, terror, fear of man and the like will not last forever. There is an end in Satan's work and the evil angels with him. It seems that evil has its upper hand at the moment but time will come when God will bring unto judgment the works of the enemy. Even with people who were deceived by Satan and dishonored God by not choosing to follow him, judgment will come as well. God reigns!
What do we do now? Those who are good and are following the ways of God, let us continue to do what is right. Right meaning what is commendable before God. Let us not place justice in our hands, let God arise and His enemies be scattered. He alone judges righteously. We cannot fully judge another since we are in the same category ...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. No one is perfect in the eyes of God, even if you do well by what you know. Our goodness/righteousness is the result of trusting Jesus Christ as our personal Savior and Lord of our lives. It is not our goodness that will save us, it is only through the Savior that we are saved and rescued.
We do not have the power to change people around us. Only God has the power to change another person's heart and mind. One thing we can do is examine ourselves. We are responsible for how we live not other people's lives. We are responsible to do what is right based on what we know from God's word. The change is within us and not outside of us. Let us consider God's gracious offer of salvation which comes by completely handing over our lives to God and do His will and not ours. Someday the Righteous Judge will come and reign and we who accepted his reign in our lives will reap the fruit of righteousness and holiness and we will enjoy His presence forever.
Have a nice day!
