Steadfast

My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises! Psalm 57:7

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:58

One good character to cultivate in our lives is being steadfast. [It means - unwavering, persistent, committed, dedicated, unswerving, firm, devoted]. We can confidently say that one of God's characters is steadfastness. He wants us to cultivate a steadfast spirit as well. Never waver in your faith that God is good and that He is good all the time. People can sometimes influence us to change our mind or even the devil might try to hinder us over something but we can thwart their plans by being steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord for surely there is a reward that awaits us. When we have firm belief in Him who knows everything then nothing can move us to do the same. Is there a prayer not yet answered? hold on, God is on your side. He'll give it when the time is ripe because there is always a perfect time to release the blessing. There is a song with lines like this; don't give up you're on the brink of a miracle; don't give up God is still on the throne; and the last line says, just remember that you're not alone.

There you are - say, My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises !- For the answer is on its way.
