In this case, moreover, it is required to stewards that one be found trustworthy. 1 Corinthians 4:2
For it is just like a man about to go on a journey, who called his own slaves and entrusted his possessions to them. To one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, each according to his own ability; and he went on a journey. Matthew 25:14-15
Let us pay attention today with regard to being a steward or stewardship. A steward is one who was entrusted with money or possessions, talents, abilities, power, authority. Whatever we have has been entrusted to us. We are not owners but stewards. God is the real owner of everything. He created the world and us into his likeness. God entrusted us with different abilities, talents, your own circle of influence on your family, work place, and in the society. We are not nameless, good for nothing individuals, forgotten or forsaken, but we are important. There is a role for us to do. Someday we will take into account with what we have done with the resources entrusted to us. Now after a long time the master of those slaves came and settled accounts with them. Matthew 25:19 To summarize, the one entrusted with five talents came up with five more, two with two more and the slave entrusted with one, hid his talent. Result - 'For to everyone who has, more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away." Matthew 25:29
Think about what God has entrusted to us personally. Are we using it to bring glory and honor to His name? Is our aim to double what we have so that when we come face to face before God, we can honestly say, I have doubled what you have entrusted to me? Think about it.
Have a great weekend!
